Your SmartPublisher data lives on a Filemaker Server, with a built-in tool for backing up your files to the local disk. This backup can be scheduled to run each night—or even more than one time throughout the day—and can be a lifesaver in the case of a power failure or other server event.

Please note that while Pre1 Software does not provide off-site storage for your backup data, we do recommend this practice. There are several third-party programs and services available a to copy your local backups to a separate disk or off-site location.

Use SmartPublisher’s report management tool to take control of your report organization. If reports in your system seem too cumbersome to find or are seldom used, rename or sort them more logically—or even hide them. Just head to “Report Setup” from the Admin menu for access to control settings such as custom title and description, sort order, a show/hide checkbox, and security levels.
